I have completed the 60 state mandated hours of professional development for the 2014-15 school year.
I began my teaching in the Nashville Public School District as an Kindergarten teacher in 1983 at the Nashville Primary School. I taught in that postion for 5 years. Then I moved to the Counseling postion for grades 3-6 after I got my Guidance and Counseling degree. Lastly, I became the Elementary School Counselor servicing grades 4-6. I have just completed my 31st year of teaching with the Nashville Public Schools.
I married Bobby Keaster a native of Nashville in 1985. We have two children Lindsey and Austin Keaster. They grew up in Nashville where both graduated from Nashville High School. Both of our children went to college at UCA in Conway where they both obtained their degrees. Lindsey obtained her degree in nursing and is currently attending school at UAMS to become a nurse practitioner in family practice, she will complete this in December. Lindsey is employed by the Arkansas Children's Hospital where she is an NICU nurse. Lindsey is married to Forrest Galloway and they are presently living in West Little Rock. Austin obtained his degree in Biology from UCA and began his graduate work in dentistry at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Austin will graduate in May with his degree. He is married to Jessica and they are presently living in Oklahoma City. Bobby and I also have Sophie a teacup Yorkie.
I have several hobbies one of which is spending time and cooking out at our farm with friends and family. On our farm we have 2 horses, lots of cows, and four bee hives. I also have range chickens' at our home. My other love is antiques I love to shop for them !
